Depression
We all feel unhappy about life sometimes. When the unhappiness
is prolonged or irrational, we may suspect clinical depression,
which is a serious condition that needs to be diagnosed. It
often requires medication. However, the latest research in
neurosciences shows that our emotions affect our brain chemicals
just as brain chemicals affect our emotions. So it is like
the chicken and egg problem. What this means is that we can
“cure” depression by dealing with our past negative emotions.
These are underlying emotions that did not get resolved, often
childhood emotions. In releasing them, we will be in a better
position to gain freedom from this condition. My approach
is, unlike conventional talk therapy, to go through childhood
emotions, on a conscious level, but in a “hypnotic” state
all the way through to current emotions, so that each one
is released you can become whole, just as you are, minus your
emotional baggage. While I am a qualified counsellor, I do
not practice conventional counselling because I do not believe
in clients spending a lot of money and time in “pity-parties”.
I do not need the details of the stories. I only work through
the emotions within those stories. I have had many clients
who have seen counsellors for months, even years, who find
that one of these very concentrated sessions do more than
a whole lot of counselling sessions.
